circumcision of the heart

There are heated debates about whether or not circumcision of the flesh is necessary. Both sides have valid points. What side you pick is up to you. BTW, my boys are not circumcised because I I fall on the said of uncircumcised when it comes to the flesh.

However, this post is not about circumcision of the flesh. As the the title reads 'circumcision of the heart'. This circumcision is very important and necessary for salvation. That is correct, a circumcised heart is vital to salvation. How, you ask? Well first of all just to have a head knowledge of who Jesus is just is not enough. The Devil and his demons know that Jesus is the Holy Son of the Living God. Yet, they are not and will never be saved. Why? Well the reason is obvious. They will never have a heart knowledge of Jesus. In fact, the Devil and demons trembles because of who Jesus is.

Unfortunatly there are people that have a head knowledge of who Jesus is and believe He is the only way, but never let Jesus into their heart. They never allowed Jesus to cut away the hardness of their hearts-to circumcise their hearts. These are the ones that Jesus talks about who do the works of the Lord, but are dismissed and told 'I never knew you, leave me you children of unrighteousness'. Sounds harsh, but the reason is that they do the works of the Lord not out of love, but out of selfishness.

So have you asked Jesus into your heart and allowed Him to start cutting away the hard parts? You know, the parts of hate, anger, rebellion, strife, ect...? I won't lie to you and say that it won't hurt. It will hurt, you will be put through a lot for Him when you allow your heart to be circumcised. However, you will notice that is it well worth it. In fact you will find yourself closer to Him. This is because when He circumcises your heart, He plants seeds that bear fruit. These fruits are love, compassion, long suffering, ect... Which from the water of the Holy Spirit will grow and take over.

Why can't Jesus just plant the seeds? Well, it's because like a ground must be softened and the rocks taken out before a garden can be planted, so must a heart be readied. Jesus must till, remove the dead and unwanted parts, and put in new soil. This is what circumcism of the heart is.
